Sister Feelgood Talks About Obeisty
Filed in archive Weight on February 13, 2007
Eating is one of the greatest pleasures in life. We consume, with great gusto, everything from crispy fried chicken to sirloin steak, and then add dessert - cake and ice cream or cream-filled donuts.
Often eating becomes too much of a pleasure, and guess what? We become overweight. This leads to other health problems including heart disease, diabetes and sleep apnea.
Most people today, as well as overeating, don't get enough exercise. It's time we cleaned up our lifestyles. Come on, folks. Get healthy.
In Day 10 of her book, Sister Feelgood, Donna Marie Williams looks at these problems.
Our refrigerators are full of junk food, alcohol, and lard. Our homes encourage sedentary living, with a TV in every room. On the whole, we have not yet internalized the behaviors and beliefs that would protect us from obesity, sickness, and disease.
