Possible Help For Urinary Tract Infection

According to an article in the Fond du Lac Reporter out of Wisconsin, red foods are the key.to good health. The article has this to say about urinary tract infection:
Cranberries, raspberries and strawberries are all packed with antioxidants that protect against disease and premature aging. And if you're prone to UTIs or cavities, the high acidity of cranberries can help keep bacteria from adhering to urinary tract walls and teeth, preventing infection and decay. Berries' rich vitamin C content keeps your immune system strong, and fiber from the skins and seeds keeps you regular.
If the berries don't work for you, here's another suggestion, this one from the Bath and Body Gossip:
Cure urinary tract infections with Alka-Seltzer . Just dissolve two tablets in a glass of water and drink it at the onset of the symptoms. Alka-Seltzer begins eliminating urinary tract infections almost instantly - even though the product was never advertised for this use. ( Note : Alka-Seltzer Plus Cold Medicine is not the same..and contains aspirin, which can cause stomach bleeding if you have ulcers.)
Check out the Bath and Body site. They have a long list of natural cures for a variety of ailments, like Gatorade for headaches. . Fascinating stuff.
