Osteoporosis and Bone Density
An article in Science Daily talks about the prevalence of osteoporosis:
"Ten million people in the United States are estimated to already have bone diseases, and almost 34 million more are estimated to have low bone mass, putting them at increased risk for osteoporosis, according to the National Osteoporosis Foundation."

Wikipedia tells us that oseoporosis is: "a disease of bone - leading to an increased risk of fracture. In osteoporosis the bone mineral density (BMD) is reduced, bone microarchitecture is disrupted, and the amount and variety of non-collagenous proteins in bone is altered."

OsteoporosisConnection.com says about treatmentlinks:
"Treatment options for osteoporosis are extremely varied, ranging from diet and lifestyle habits to medication to surgery. Here you'll find the basics about each of your treatment options and the resources you need to find relief."
Numerous treatment suggestions are listed.
