Heart Disease Drops, Obesity Rises
Does the sight of all that delicious food make your mouth water? Me too. We truly live in the land of plenty.

Unfortunately, maybe we have too much plenty. An article from FOX news tells us that the rate of heart disease in women has been dropping since 2000.

A report released by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) showed that heart disease deaths in women declined by nearly 17,000 between 2003 and 2004, the last year statistics were available.

Experts were quick to warn that the decline in death reflects mostly improvements in treatment and not a large drop in new cases of heart disease among women.

That's the good news. The bad news is that all that good food could lead to obesity, and obesity could reverse the trend. FitExpress Blog has this to say:

Currently, about 1/3 of adult women in the U.S. alone are obese and those numbers are rising each and every year. Come on ladies, lets reverse this trend of obesity and start matching the trend of decreased heart disease. We can do this; get to Fit Express for some moral support!

I agree. Let's watch our diets, get more exercise and defeat the obesity trend. Our bodies will love us for it.
