There's evidence that green tea helps you lose weight. The Diet Blog tells us:
Green tea is believed to be a potential agent, which can help you to loss weight. Weight loss has become a serious matter in the present world. The possible reasons for weight loss can be many such as lifestyle factors, the diet and stress and strain the modern life. Irrespective of the possible reasons, there is a need for an ultimate solution since the weight gain or obesity can lead to many serious health hazards such as diabetes, and the heart diseases. Green tea is projected as an effective weight loss remedy since many of the reports show positive effects.

If you don't feel like drinking green tea - well - you could eat it instead, as revealed on Mellow Monk's Green Tea Blog:
As tea's health profile has risen, it has increasingly found its way onto dinner plates as well as in tea cups. Green tea is mellow enough to work well with spicy flavors like ginger and garlic; citrus teas give a lift to heavier flavors like chocolate. Green tea cakes and chai cookies are now staples at bakeries, and restaurants are putting tea in marinades and rubs.

Or you could take it as a pill as explained in the Green Tea Diet:
Love the idea of a green tea diet but can't stand the taste of tea? Don't despair. There's hope for you, yet! Green tea extract comes in pill form, as well, so you'll need to come up with some other excuse! Taken as a dietary supplement, green tea extract usually comes in 500 mg. capsules taken two or three times daily. Now, that's not hard, is it? And no bitter-beer-face aftertaste, either!

And the latest? The green tea patch. American Chronicles has this to say:
Green tea weight loss patches works in two ways. First, they suppress appetite naturally and safely. A study at the University of Chicago showed that rats when injected with green tea can lose up to 21% of their bodyweight. This is due to the fact that a substance present in green tea acts as a natural appetite-suppressant that staves off hunger.

Green tea weight loss patches also increase metabolism. With their high epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) content, green tea weight loss patches have a distinct advantage over stimulant diet drugs which can be harmful to individuals with hypertension and heart complications.

I can't help but agree with That's Fit.com:
Whether you buy in to the green tea health perks or not why, oh why would we need it in a patch form? Weight loss is a terribly hard thing to do. It's no fun ordering grilled fish and broccoli when the person next to you is ordering a double-decker cheeseburger. So it's no wonder so many people are looking for that easy fix to weight maintenance. But if you're looking to green tea to help you control your weight, I'd suggest drinking a cup or two. It's much more satisfying than a sticky patch on your arm and will likely have the same effect.
