Get A Free Hearing Test

Our hearing ability deteriorates as we age. Hearing impairment can be a conductive hearing impairment (impairment resulting from dysfunction in any of the mechanisms that normally conduct sound waves through the outer ear, the eardrum or the bones of the middle ear) or a sensorineural hearing impairment (resulting from dysfunction in the inner ear, especially the cochlea where sound vibrations are converted into neural signals, or in any part of the brain that subsequently processes these signals).

The severity of a hearing impairment may be ranked as mild, moderate, severe or profound — depending on the loudness (measured in decibels (dB)) a sound must be before being detected by a person.

As we age, we should all undergo a hearing test (or look for a free hearing testif you can't afford one) from time to time (or when you feel that your hearing is already impaired) in order to determine the severity of our hearing impairment.

I booked a free hearing test with http://www.earhearingaid.co.uk and discovered that I didn’t need a hearing aid after all.
