Exercise and Weight Loss
Is it really necessary to exercise to lose weight? According to many sources the answer is yes. The Diet Blog lists three proven truths about why this is so. The final Rule of Thumb:
Get your diet right. Start learning to incorporate moderate exercise into your life; if you fail to do so during your weight loss phase - you will increase your chances of weight regain.

Health and Finsesse agrees:
Everyone on a proper diet that is serious about losing weightlinks will in fact be doing some sort of exercise. A proper diet will not be effective without exercise.

I have to confess. I'm not fond of exercising, but I do know that if I want to lose this excess weight, I'll have to get off my butt and start an exercise plan.
